Please forgive such a late note to say how sorry I am to hear about your Dad. He was a bright shining light to so many of us and blessed us all with this presence, knowledge, wit and joy of making music. I am so grateful that I had the chance to know him a little in my life. Dear Flicka,
Thank you for writing! I cried when I read your letter! For joy! Dad admired you so. My first reaction was to grab the phone to call him to tell him that you wrote! He would have been so pleased and humbled.
And then I remembered, oh yeah! He can't answer the phone! Tears again!
But anyway, thank you so much for writing. He admired your work and spoke so highly of you to all of us.
