Carol Quimby Heath: A Life Well Lived

  1. Lately I've been thinking of the yearly carol concerts Fenno had early in December "to start the season off right".It was fun singing the lovely little folk carols. A special highlight was the year of John Rutter's beautiful Nativity Carol, when Fenno had a small string orchestra accompany us as we sang it. The folk carols now rest in the archives of the New Haven Carol Society, but I was delighted to hear on WMNR that the annual Messiah Sing-in, which Fenno started around 1980, I think, will take place in Battell Chapel this afternoon (12/11/16). Although I'm no longer able to attend, I'll surely be there in spirit!
