Dear Fenno,
It's hard to put into words all that you and the Glee Club have meant to me over the years. I didn't know, when joining the Freshman Chorus and Glee Club as an undergraduate, that I was embarking on such a wonderful life-long membership. Rehearsals were jolly affairs, as others have mentioned, and somehow out of those enjoyable gatherings, we managed to produce good music. It has been wonderful to read the Fennoisms others have provided. What was most meaningful to me was the way in which, at an institution as large as Yale, you were someone who developed personal connections with so many students. Our Yale experience was so much the richer for having a chance to experience your warmth, humor and humanity. Thank you for a life well lived! May you and your family be supported by the love and prayers of all of us who have been so touched by your life.
