Fenno Follansbee Heath, Jr.: Ride The Chariot

A MEMORIAL SERVICE WAS HELD ON SAT. MARCH 28TH, 2009 AT BATTELL CHAPEL, Yale University, at 3:00pm. All were cordially invited. Over 800 in attendance! DVD available through the Yale Glee Club office.

Service details: Tom Murray, University Organist, started the prelude 20 minutes before the 3 p.m. service began. There were performances by The Yale Glee Club, The Yale Alumni Chorus, The Whiffenpoofs of 2009, The SLOT's, and The University Glee Club of New Haven. A magnificent, and humbling, tribute.

Ride The Chariot

Fenno - you've had such a profound effect on my life...from that first "Ride The Chariot" at Southern Connecticut State chorus with a high c at 9 in the morning (thirty-two years ago...sweet jesus) to the final one at my 20th reunion, right before my dad died. you were so comforting and strong for me at a time when i was unable to offer it to myself.
All I can offer you now is a very gentle "Er Is Een Kindeke," a lot of love and gratitude, and a rousing "Ride The Chariot" to cheer you on your way.
